There are two stats I can’t stop talking about. One is that Patreon is on track to give out $150 million to Creators in 2017. The other is that Medium’s Partner program, which has only been open to all publishers for two months, has been paying writers amounts that would have been unheard of just a few years ago. Both of these data points indicate that we are finally fulfilling one of the Internet’s promises: paid content.
